This is an illustrative/symbolic listing for custom fore-edge painting orders. Fore-edge painting is a form of art that dates back to 1650. Painted books are the perfect gift for book lovers and amazing pieces for home decor, they are special and unique lasting items - and something I love to make! Fore-edge paintings have the power to transform a book not only into a distinctive special edition but also into a family heirloom.

How to proceed:

1) If interested in ordering a custom fore-edge painting contact me via "Message Seller" or "Message Alice". I'll be happy to discuss with you painting ideas and how we can adapt them to my painting style!

2) Please include in your message a) the book you want; b) your location (country); c) any ideas or design inspirations you may have (if you don't, we can always brainstorm ideas together!); c) any other information you consider important for me to know (e.g. when do you need the book for). And don't hesitate to ask any questions!!

3) The final price (which includes de artwork and cost of shipping) will depend on the book used, the design - the amount of details and time that goes into making it - and the location of the recipient. I buy the book myself so you don't need to worry about sending me a copy! You can also send me special editions, books you already own or copies not available in the UK.

4) Please mind that I currently have a commissions queue so the sooner you contact me the sooner I'll have a slot reserved for you on my list. I always try to accommodate special requests for earlier dates if needed (birthdays, anniversaries...), so please let me know in your message if that's the case!

5) I do track international shipping for international orders and next-day special delivery for domestic UK orders.
